Mobile Legends

The BPO eSports scene witnessed a clash of legendary proportions last July 15, as Virtua Solutions held its first Mobile Legends tournament. And after the force battles, one team emerged victorious.

A Three-Way Match Unfolds

The tournament began with an elimination round for the three teams. Each team got to play two matches against the other teams. From there, the two teams with the most wins move up to the finals.

Bonak v Viewer

Even during the eliminations, the competition was already a lot of action. Team Bonak and Team Viewer were the first to go head to head. Guest commentator and seasoned Mobile Legends player Butters described the match as a battle of hit and run tactics versus a more controlled counterattack. In the end, Bonak won the first match.

The second match saw Team Bonak trying to secure a back to back victory against Team Pekaps. Much like in their first match, the team chose a more offensive lineup. However, they swapped their two support heroes for a different set.

Meanwhile, Team Pekaps opted for a wait and see gameplay. But Butters observed that they also have something up their sleeves, opting to use the hero Fanny as a backup. Butters explained that Fanny is a great damage dealer that can help Pekaps to push back. But that just wasn’t enough as Team Bonak steamrolled to the first finals slot.

Pekaps v Viewer

The last match of the eliminations had the two remaining teams duke it out for the second finals slot. Since it was a sudden death match, both Pekaps and Viewer were raring to get an early lead. After a heated 13-minute battle. Pekaps emerged the victor.

A Final Battle To Become Virtua Legends

With the finalists selected, it was time to determine Virtua Solutions’ first ever Mobile Legends champion. The championship round is a best of three match. According to commentator Butters, Pekaps had Bonak on a tight spot during their first meeting, but the latter still managed to win.

In the first match, Bonak was quick to assert its dominance. However, Team Pekaps was able to draw out its advance. Nevertheless, Bonak exerted a last strong push to win their first point.

In the second match, Bonak again relied on their strategy of building their team around the hero Angela. They immediately launched the strategy at the start of the match, dominating the lanes and building up their force. Pekaps valiantly tried to delay the push by Bonak. However, the latter managed to regroup and launched a final assault on their rival’s base.

Mobile legends champions

At the end of the match, Bonak asserted their supremacy and was crowned the first Virtua Solutions Mobile Legends champs. They also got to take home the 10,000 pesos pot money and bragging rights on the office chats for the next few weeks.
