Monday, September 14, 2026, was another meaningful and purposeful day for Virtua Outsourcing Solutions. As part of the company’s anniversary celebration, Virtua’s Eco Champs kicked off the week with a tree-planting activity at the La Mesa Nature Reserve in Quezon City.
Among the many activities lined up for Virtua’s month-long anniversary celebration, the tree-planting initiative was one that aimed to create a lasting impact. It gave participants an opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation while taking part in a meaningful activity together. The trees planted will continue to grow as a lasting reminder of Virtua’s commitment to creating positive change in the community and the environment.
The morning began with registration at 8:00 AM, followed by the program kick-off and a tree-growing tutorial. To ensure everyone was prepared for the main activity, facilitators conducted a demonstration on how to properly rebag young seedlings. Participants then took part in the rebagging session themselves, helping prepare the seedlings for planting and healthy future growth.
The activity gave participants a better understanding of the care involved in nurturing young trees before they are planted. It also highlighted how even small actions can contribute to larger environmental conservation efforts. With everyone ready and equipped with the proper knowledge, the group then moved on to the much-awaited tree-planting activity.
The tree-planting activity was held in partnership with Million Trees Foundation, Inc. It gave team members the opportunity to spend time outdoors, learn more about caring for trees, and contribute to a greener environment.
Participants were also encouraged to bring a companion from outside Virtua. Those who did earned double Power-Up points as part of Virtua’s Power-Up program, making the activity even more engaging while allowing employees to share the experience.
Free transportation, lunch, event T-shirts, and certificates were provided to participants. The program wrapped up at 12:00 noon with the awarding of certificates. It was a meaningful way to celebrate Virtua’s milestone while giving back to the environment and the community.
