Virtua’s V is none other than Vera Panganiban, one of the support agents for Blue Maple and Good Sphere. And yes, V really is her nickname.
V hails from La Trinidad, Benguet and of Igorot heritage. While she didn’t experience much of the traditional customs, she says farming has always been the way of life for them. Both her parents come from families of farmers. She says that even if it isn’t their main source of livelihood nowadays, her father still tends to his plants.
V narrates that when she was young, her father would take her with him to the farm. While he tends to plants, she spends her time observing insects. When her family moved to Baguio, she brought that love of nature with her, taking time to see the nature spots still present in the city.
It’s really not surprising that V has a strong love for nature. She believes that we are not just part of nature. Instead, we are nature itself. According to her, that philosophy helped her appreciate nature as a whole.
That love of nature also comes into play with her love for drawing. She is currently into drawing different insects. Though she admits that she still has to make some headway on that. Aside from insects, she also does anime fanart.
She says that she had been drawing ever since she held a pen. Vera proudly admits that she is still very much a traditional artist, preferring ink and watercolor. But she has been making a leap into digital art with the help of her iPad.
Running In The Wind
When she is not busy doodling away on her tablet or on paper, Vera runs. She says that she got into the habit during a tough time in her life. According to her, going around for a few laps helped clear her mind, much like meditation.
Nowadays, life has been calmer for her. But she still runs just to get the excitement off watching another major league baseball game. V says that she has become a recent fan of the sport as another form of stress relief.

But hold on, there is more to V than meets the eye. She gleefully reveals herself to be a meme lord. “I won’t hesitate to use a meme I like even at work,” she chuckled. V also shared her fondness for emojis, using them even for work communications.
She also has a rather sharp memory. “I have a gazillion unlabeled notes and somehow still know where things are.” Definitely helpful for someone like her who has a lot of things planned for the day.
And as for her greatest feat? V declares proudly that she has been sober for over a year now. She admits that it wasn’t easy as she had to go through many changes just to keep her distance from alcohol. V also managed to kick away her smoking habit at the same time. With that, she says that she is on the path to a healthier lifestyle.
