When you call Virtua Outsourcing for customer support, chances are, you will hear Rocky Alegre’s high pitch voice on the other line. And he certainly has the energy to match that, as he tells us his story. So, sit back and lend your ears to our Mama.
Virtua Mom
Mama Rocky, as colleagues call him, is one of Virtua’s senior support agents. He was one of the first two agents that worked with regular client Network For Good. The other was the company’s co-founder Francis Guintu.
He says it was fellow senior customer support agent Francesca Cunanan who gave him the nickname. She just took to calling him that and Frank as Mother and it stuck since. But Mama Rocky thinks the name fits. “Chesca is like an offspring to me, with the training I gave her at work.”
And he has since become Virtua’s mama. Being one of the pioneers, Rocky witnessed how the company has grown during those years. He says that it has improved a lot from those early days. Back then, they were only a handful and everything was just getting established. Now, he says that Virtua is finally able to satisfy not just clients but also its employees.
Exploring Virtual Worlds
When not busy handling customer calls for NFG, Mama Rocky immerses himself in role-playing games. One of his current favorites is the popular Genshin Impact. He proudly admits that, if his schedule permits, he just sits all day and play the games.
He identifies more as a casual player, but he does invest time in leveling up all the characters. And he is quite involved in the metagame, getting all of his characters to deal a lot of damage to the various mobs and bosses.
More than the individual enjoyment, Mama Rocky says that he has formed a small circle of friends through the game. It all started when he was still new to the game and having a hard time beating the different bosses. He had to ask other players for help. From those, they started sharing game tips.
Beyond the game, he and his new online friends also talk about daily stuff and even have some online drinking sessions. “There should be a Genshin Club in Virtua,” Mama Rocky declares after learning that this writer and a few other colleagues play the game.
Staying Fabulous
When not thinking about how to get higher in-game damage, Mama Rocky thinks a lot about his hair. He says that seeing it grow longer makes him excited for it to be the length he wants. But he admits that he sometimes ends up cutting it before that when he doesn’t like the look.
And to make sure that his hair and body stays healthy, Mama Rocky makes sure that he gets lots of sleep. “My longest record sleeping is 20 hours straight,” he chuckles. He says that this usually happens if he didn’t get enough sleep the previous day.
So, there you have it, our Mama Rocky. Get to see him in action when you sign up for Virtua Outsourcing Solutions’ services.
