Virtua Outsourcing Solutions prides itself on assembling a team of great talents to serve clients. And to honor that team, we are featuring each individual from the various departments. First up is one of the company’s head honchos, Penn Camille Lat.
Establishing Virtua Outsourcing Solutions
Penn Camille Lat, or just Penny to the team, started her career in the outsourcing industry more than a decade ago. She primarily worked in business process outsourcing, teaming up with both local and foreign clients. This has not only honed her skills as a customer support specialist but also as a team leader.
Armed with those skills, Penny decided to strike on her own in 2018. The ever-courageous lady established Virtua Outsourcing Solutions with long-time friend and collaborator Francis Guintu. Together, they gradually expanded the team from a few people to what the company is now today.
During our interview, Penny expressed how proud she was at what the company is achieving. In her words, she described Virtua as “a growing baby.”

When out from work, Penny keeps herself busy by doing the household chores. As a single parent, she says that she has a lot on her hand. She supervises her kids’ study sessions and plays with them while juggling various household chores.
Penny remarks that raising her kids on her own is one of her biggest achievements. She also enthusiastically proclaims that her other major achievement is graduating cum laude from the University Of The Philippines. Penny added that she was grateful to survive her early years as a freelancer.
Besides doing her household duties, Penny keeps herself busy by indulging in her favorite hobbies. She dances a lot and loves painting during her spare time. The Virtua head also laughingly admits that she’s hooked into K-dramas as of late
Penny Uncovered
During our interview, Penny candidly revealed one of the biggest misconceptions people have about her. She says that, according to friend Frank Guintu, she is a sugar and spice type of woman. But she says that, behind that exterior, she has been toughened by her experiences.
Penny even describes herself as akin to the lion, her self-described spirit animal. She says that, like it, she can be firm when needed. But she also has a strong instinct to protect her kids like the mother lioness. She giddily reminded us that she is, in fact, a Leo.
The Virtua head sheepishly admits that she can be forgetful at times. She remarks that she can even forget things she is supposed to do when she is already about to do it. Thus, she said that she often had to remind herself of her to-do list.
At the end of her hectic day, Penny says that she makes it a point to unwind with her family. One of their favorite pastimes is just watching a movie on Netflix. And after that movie session, she tucks into her bed for a good night’s rest.
